Good Walks, Good Dogs
Terms of service
Effective date: 7 October 2026
About these terms
These terms cover the website, client diary and dog-walking services provided by Good Walks, Good Dogs, ABN 26 185 688 651. Contact Tanya at tanya@goodwalks.au. Read these terms with your confirmed booking details and our privacy policy.
Introductions and acceptance
An enquiry, account registration or sign-in does not reserve a place or guarantee suitability. New clients begin with a complimentary 20-minute introduction, with no obligation to book. Tanya confirms suitability, approved walk types, availability and collection arrangements before accepting walks. An account awaiting approval cannot book walks.
Walks and collection
Small-group walks are 60 minutes, on lead, with a maximum of four dogs matched for pace and temperament. Private walks are offered for 30 or 60 minutes. Collection and return are included within the agreed service area; travel is additional to walking time. Your confirmed collection window and pickup arrangements form part of the booking. Early walks and any different arrangements must be agreed with Tanya.
Your dog’s care information
Provide accurate, current information about your dog’s health, medication, behaviour, handling needs and relevant incidents. Tell Tanya about changes before the next walk. Supply agreed equipment and safe access for collection. Discuss emergency contacts, veterinary arrangements and any permissions at onboarding. Treats are given only with your permission. If a walk becomes unsafe or your dog’s needs change, Tanya may pause or decline that service and discuss suitable alternatives and any payment adjustment for walks not provided.
Prices and payments
Prices are in Australian dollars. The website displays current service prices; the price and any agreed second-dog charge are confirmed before booking. One-off walks are paid before the confirmed walk. Regular places are billed weekly in advance for scheduled walks, with no minimum term. No payment is required to enquire or attend the introduction. Payment details are supplied after your dog’s place is confirmed. Reporting a bank transfer in the diary is not confirmation of receipt; Tanya checks the payment. Price changes will be communicated before you agree to affected future bookings and will not change the price of an already confirmed walk without your agreement.
Prepaid walk packs and optional refill
Where offered, approved regular group-walk clients can buy 2, 4, 8 or 16 walks at $50 per credit. One credit covers one dog on one group walk; additional dogs and private walks are paid separately. Buying a pack does not reserve sessions or guarantee capacity. Credits do not expire. Unused, unreserved credits can be refunded at their original purchase value; cancel future reservations first to refund those credits.
Automatic refill is optional and requires your express consent. The same pack is purchased only when an upcoming confirmed walk needs a credit and none remain. Reserving future walks alone does not trigger a charge. We send at least 48 hours of email notice before a refill charge. You can switch refill off in Payments without cancelling your walks. If a payment fails or there is insufficient time to provide notice, pay manually; your bookings remain in your diary.
Cancel at least 48 hours before collection to return a reserved credit. Later cancellations require Tanya to review any reasonable fee; no fee is charged automatically. If Good Walks cancels, your credit is returned and you can request its purchase value as a refund. Refunds and these terms do not limit your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
Cancellations and changes
Give at least 48 hours’ notice before the start of your confirmed collection window to cancel or change a walk without charge. Prepayment for a timely cancellation can be refunded or credited if you choose. With less notice, a fee of up to 50% of the booked walk price may apply, limited to reasonable unrecovered costs. The same policy applies if your dog cannot be collected. If the place is filled, no late cancellation fee applies. Fees and refund arrangements are discussed with Tanya, rather than charged automatically. A requested replacement time is subject to availability. These rules do not limit your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
Weather and business cancellations
Walks proceed in light rain when safe. Heat, storms, smoke, unsafe paths or other safety concerns may require a change or cancellation. Tanya will contact you to agree on any changed time or service. If Good Walks, Good Dogs cancels a walk, you may choose a full refund or credit. Regular clients are not charged for public holidays or walks cancelled by the business. If conditions deteriorate during a walk, safe return takes priority and Tanya will discuss an appropriate adjustment for the interrupted service.
Using the client diary
Keep sign-in links, invitations and calendar subscription links private. Use your own household account and provide accurate details. Do not access another household’s information or interfere with the website. Contact Tanya if you suspect unauthorised access. We may restrict access where necessary to protect accounts or investigate misuse, and will provide a way to discuss existing bookings and payments. The diary may occasionally be unavailable; email Tanya if you need to arrange or change a walk.
Photos and privacy
We handle personal information as described in our privacy policy. Private photo updates and public promotional use require separate permissions. Tell Tanya your preferences or if you wish to change them.
Consumer rights and resolving concerns
Services must be provided with due care and skill and meet applicable consumer guarantees. Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. If you have a concern about a walk, payment or service, contact Tanya with the details so we can discuss an appropriate remedy. The cancellation policy does not override those rights.
Changes to these terms
The version published here applies to new bookings from its effective date. Material changes affecting ongoing arrangements will be communicated before affected future bookings. Changes do not remove rights relating to services already purchased. Contact Tanya if you wish to stop regular bookings, subject to the cancellation rules above.
